De La Salle University and Akari Lighting and Technology Corporation sealed an agreement for the establishment of an endowment for the School of Economics on May 3 at the Jose T. Pardo AFSC Hall.

The ceremony featured the signing of multiple Deeds of Donation and a Memorandum of Agreement, including the establishment of the Tiu Family Endowment Fund, donation of the 3D video wall equipment, sponsorship of lighting fixtures for 澳门六合彩 campuses, and the management of the 澳门六合彩 Women鈥檚 Football Team. The highlight of the ceremony was the announcement by the Brother President of the naming of the School of Economics to the Carlos L. Tiu School of Economics.

Student life may be difficult for those who have less in life materially, but such was not the case for Camille 鈥淐ams鈥 De Pedro, who knew how to acknowledge and embrace her limitations, grow independently, and love herself.

Camille came from Batasan Hills National High School, one of the most populated high schools in the country, under the Engineering and Science Education Program (ESEP) of the Department of Science and Technology.聽 鈥淚 was your average-type student鈥撯揳live and barely breathing, given the advanced subjects in sciences and math.聽Invisible ako pagdating sa academics, may silbi lang ako kapag mga art classes and projects na 鈥 theatre, music, sports, speech, choir, creative presentations, etc. Sabi ko nun, mukhang mali ako ng pinasukan kasi ang tatalino ng mga kaklase ko, samantalang ako, joker lang,鈥 she says.
